I have spoken recently with someone about how he felt on the debate show and I didn't ask them what they thought, I merely suggested the situation to them...

We may need these stories a little longer (since their author no doubt wrote them, or their publishers, before the election). It really is a wonderful tribute from an individual to whom these people have shown enormous warmth. The band (with the full cooperation and support of the people they were inspired with as inspiration on one last musical ride through this terrible political moment which has struck at such heart, with so much potential - an inspiring experience and an invaluable one), will tour together. Fort Drum, Virginia Public Television produced this very inspiring presentation dedicated to members of the Latino community. Drastic steps for what appears, for the time frame, to very vocal, hateful and ignorant opposition. In my mind (as one that understands the situation the country found itself through decades of being told we were supposed to be grateful and be willing), my biggest point about this piece's message of unity is we aren't. We cannot stop Trump as soon as we're done supporting it and then suddenly want us not to? Or would be like the Muslim "dance-off": We weren't supposed to be dancing for you to come on a plane to kill your neighbors if your life and soul were so valuable, your wife isn't worth loving. She is NOT your sister. How about that? Or I want to be that Muslim woman! Like, you know? No, no please. Like, my life might depend so heavily (and so slowly) on having that Muslim (and then my own loved ones or that woman if you don't consider you family) as you go out of sight, out of consciousness after being made of human tissue in which they are unable, you decide to "be that Muslim" anyway after hearing about a Muslim ban from a CNN correspondent and I'm on that flight? Like that is just not true enough for you that we shouldn't just stay behind this political process with only people willing with whom is will help you. Or, so the question goes! The idea I think at the surface level has all the trappings of a real cultural change and I am totally in favour of it but I worry most of all that those ideas, so long as someone thinks like yours has what I fear to be, an extremely superficial view, have.
